No. You must not book our tours if you are planning to fly in from another island on the same day. If you are staying in Nassau or another island, this tour is NOT suitable. You must be staying in Great Exuma. There is no transfer service available from the Airport.
If you are staying in Nassau, you should enquire about our Day Trip to Exuma from Nassau by Plane.
Full day tours from Georgetown, Great Exuma, are the only tours we offer by Powerboat that cover long distances. These Powerboats have to travel through some open water. Sometimes this can last only 10-20 minutes duration along the total 1 hour 45 min journey one way. Depending on the weather and sea conditions it can be a little rough. It very much depends on the day. The majority of the journey is in the shallow waters of the Exuma Cays, where the boat is protected from sea swell by the islands. It is a large 36ft Powerboat which makes it very stable in the water.
Generally sea sickness would only be an issue if the sea conditions on the day of travel were rough, which is only a few times per month. If the sea is too rough or unsafe, of course the tour would not go ahead. This circumstance would usually be caused by high wind speeds, thunderstorms or tropical storms.
Full day tours from Georgetown have a total 1 hour 45 min journey one way and travel on a 36ft Powerboat. There is a small potty/toilet available on this boat. There are public bathrooms available at Staniel Cay Yacht Club and Compass Cay Marina.
